We are pleased to offer for sale an early 1900's Roullet et Decamps clockwork automaton monkey accordion player in wonderful original condition and working very well.  His clockwork was recently cleaned and oiled so he's all set to entertain you for many performances.  He is wound via a fixed R&D monogrammed key in his back.  Once wound he will move the accordion pumping it in and out opening and closing the bellows, and he turns head from side to side while opening and closing his mouth as if to be singing (this is the version that does not have a music box in it) - be sure to watch the video above!  A gorgeous original monkey, he is made of carton (paper mache) with natural fur and glass eyes.  He has his original paper bellows in his accordion which shows some wear but is in overall very nice shape. This amusing monkey automaton measures about 11" tall, 7 1/2" front to back, and 6 1/2" wide.  A classic automaton in great working condition by the master firm of Roullet & Decamps is always a welcome addition to any automaton collection!  PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AS WELL AS WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE FOR THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF THIS AMUSING ROULLET et DECAMPS AUTOMATON.
