An early 1900's Performing Circus Bear Automaton on Rocker marked on the bottom "Made in Austria".  The bear works great and gives a lively performance.  He has an on-off lever at his back left side. When wound the bear will move his head from the left to the right side as he moves at the hips causing his platform to rock back and forth vigorously.  Be sure to watch the video in this listing to see him in action!  This big Bruin was made to appear to be balancing on a wooden circus size rocking platform.  He's holding a wooden staff in his carved wood paws.  He has a carton body, glass eyes, natural fur coat, and strong clockwork mechanism. This unique antique bear has nice size and presence and it displays very well.  Overall he measures 14" tall,  12" wide at the rockers, and about 6" deep front to back.  We will include the well-fitting replacement winding key seen in photo# 4 with the sale.  PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AS WELL AS WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE FOR THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF THIS EARLY AND RARE AUTOMATON.
