We are pleased to offer for your consideration a nice little bisque baby doll in a long cotton christening gown, slip, and cloth diaper.  The baby was made in Japan and the word Japan is on the baby's back.  The baby is pinned at the shoulders and the hips and the arms and legs are slightly bent like a real baby would be.  The tip of the baby's left foot has been broken off (see photo #7). The baby itself is a tiny 2 3/4" long and the overall length of the baby and christening gown (top of baby's head to bottom of the christening gown) is approximately 5 1/4".  This early doll comes with a pillow made of the same fabric as her gown. The baby is dressed in a wonderful long cotton gown with a cotton half slip and diaper underneath and a cotton bonnet. The bonnet is sewn on to the gown at the ribbon and the slip and gown are sewn on as well.  There is a bit of staining on the gown and slip and all of the fabric (including the pillow) has yellowed a bit with age, but it just seems to add to her charm.  Her right arm seems to be stuck in the up position, but we think it may just be because the shoulder of the gown is a bit tight.  This adorable little bisque baby in her cute long gown and bonnet will be a great addition to your collection!  PLEASE REVEIW ALL PHOTOS AND USE THE ENLARGE AND ZOOM FEATURES FOR THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF THIS CUTE LITTLE BISQUE JAPANESE DOLL.
