Louis Marx & Co. Charleston Trio tin wind up toy

We are pleased to offer for sale a wonderful antique Louis Marx & Co. lithographed tin wind up toy. The Charleston Trio was Patented in 1921 as stated on the bottom of the base but it was also introduced as a new toy for 1926 in the Sears catalog.  The toy was made in two versions with this version being the more rare because it has a center figure that resembles the Marx Somstepa figure and the suit he's wearing matches the suit shown on the front of the toy base.  This toy is all original; it has no replacement parts nor any touch up to the paint. The lithography is dull from dust staining and there is surface corrosion on the unpainted surfaces (start/stop switch, winding key, dog cane, and on the backside of the jigger's arms).  The toy works very well and when wound the small figure to the left will play his violin, the center figure will dance up and down while spinning merrily around jigging his feet and moving his arms, while the dog moves up and down on his hind legs holding the cane in his mouth (please be sure to watch the video). The on off lever on the front of the toy works well also.   Please look over the picture carefully for the best description of the condition.  The toy has had a light cleaning but only enough to remove the surface dirt.  No attempt has been made to wax or polish the surface.  This all original Marx Charleston Trio measures about 9" tall and is about 5 1/2" in width.  This is an early and honest Marx Charleston Trio and it will fit nicely into any antique tin wind up toy collection.  PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AND USE THE ENLARGE AND ZOOM FEATURES AS WELL AS WATCH THE VIDEO FOR THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF THIS WONDERFUL ANTIQUE TIN WIND UP TOY.
