Karl Griesbaum singing bird automaton

An early 1900's Karl Griesbaum singing bird in cage automaton. This cute little singing bird works very well. Once wound via the fixed key on the bottom of the cage this bright and colorful avian will loudly express itself.  The lever on the right side of the base can be set in two different positions.  Either continuous play or intermittent.  The intermittent setting allows the bird to briefly pause while singing and then continue till the winding is exhausted.  The gilt paint on the wood base is original as is the felt covering on the floor and the brass wire cage.  The bird has had its’ feathers replaced (be sure to check out the close up photos of the bird) as well as the leaves below him.  The bellows have recently been rebuilt so the bird sings nice and strong.  The cage measures about 5" by 6" at the base and about 11 1/2" tall with the ring handle folded down.  This lovely little singing bird cage automaton will make a great addition to any automaton collection.  PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AND USE THE ENLARGE AND ZOOM FEATURES AS WELL AS WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE FOR THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF THIS ANTIQUE SINGING BIRD CAGE AUTOMATON.
