We are pleased to offer for your consideration a pair of gorgeous and very rare antique Viennese Bronze and Grisaille Decorated Enamel Matching Side Chairs.  These antique chairs feature the most beautiful deep cranberry background painted in a style of painting called "grisallie".  Grisaille is a painting style executed entirely in shades of grey or of another neutral grayish color screen.  These beautiful hand painted matched chairs  were most likely made in Vienna Austria in the early 1900's or late 1800's.  Please take special notice of the art work on these wonderful and very rare chairs. They are not marked, which is typical for bronze and enamel dollhouse furniture. The chairs measure 3 1/4" tall and 1 3/8" in width and on the 1:12 scale that would be three feet, three inches in height and one foot, five inches in width.  The ornate bronze metal frames and backs have a soft even patina.  The hand painted panels feature a classic courting scene on the seat area of each chair and the seat backs feature a man on one and a woman on the other. All panels are painted in grisaille with gilt highlights.  This is a very rare example of fine Viennese miniature bronze and grisaille enamel porcelain side chairs.  They will make an impressive addition to any well appointed dollhouse.  PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AND USE THE ENLARGE AND ZOOM FEATURES FOR THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF THESE RARE ANTIQUE VIENNESE BRONZE AND ENAMEL DOLLHOUSE MINIATURE CHAIRS.
