We offer for your consideration a wonderful 1930 Louis Marx tin wind up Whoopie Cowboy Whoopee Car with the original box. This toy is in excellent condition and works great! When wound, the Cowboy drives his Whoopee Car erratically about; going forward and backwards, spinning in circles, doing wheelies and himself jumping up into a standing position and then sitting back down again! What great action! The litho paint finish does have a few tiny scuffs and paint dings. The left wheel has the typical run wear litho loss around it. All the colors on the toy are vibrant and glossy. The box is a very nice example with strong color and minimal damage. Note the spelling on the box “Whoopie” (ie) Cowboy and on the back of the car it reads “Whoopee” (ee) Car. The large flap at one end is starting to separate from the box and both inner flaps on that end are missing. There is a 3 ½” tear on one face of the box. There is also a couple of little creases and tiny hole on the sides of the box, but even with this damage it still leaves one end and one large face of the box in great shape allowing the box to be displayed well with the car. Many collectors consider this Whoopee Car to be the most attractive of all the eccentric cars that Marx made. The Whoopee Car appears to be completely original; it has no rust, repair or paint touch up. This Whoopie Cowboy Whoopee Car measures 9” long by 7” tall and 3” wide. The box measures 8” long by 6” tall and 3 ¼” wide. Don’t wait for a nicer antique toy Marx Whoopie Cowboy Car to come along because it could be a long time before you find it.
