Exploding Battleship Builder toy

A rare Baker & Bennett Co. of New York Exploding Battleship Builder wooden toy from the early 1900's.  The wooden battleship is made of sections that are put together like a puzzle and the player will load the projectile into a wooden spring loaded torpedo then aim at the red button on the side of the ship and launch the attack.  If the aim is accurate the battleship will "explode" with pieces scattering about.  This is similar to the more common Schoenhut exploding dreadnought toy.  This Exploding Battleship Builder by Baker & Bennett would have been a great toy for early dexterity and hand-eye coordination development not to mention just plain fun.  This toy is in the almost never found original box and the top, bottom, and label are in excellent condition.  Both the toy and the box show minor wear.  The Battleship measures 11 1/2" in length and the hand held torpedo measures 6 1/4" before the projectile is loaded.  The box is approximately 12" x 4".  If you collect only excellent condition antique toys in the original box then this Exploding Battleship toy is just what you've been waiting for.  PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AND USE THE ENLARGE AND ZOOM FEATURES FOR THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF THIS EARLY AMERICAN TOY.
